Gung Hay Fat Choy and good morning everybody.
A warm ꒰๑˃͈꒳˂͈๑꒱ノ hello*゙̥ to those of you who are new followers here via WP or Bloglovin’. Thank you from my heart ♡ for adding my little blog to your reading list. I am honored. So, what are you up to today?
I am still knitting away on my Big Woods Flax. I gave Chinese New Year cleaning priority the past few days so I am a bit behind on where I’d like to be by today. However, I’ve made terrific progress.
I am now at 13″ in body length! I’m so happy. Last night at 88 rounds x 158 each = 13,904 stitches knitted. Today I will work on splitting this body into a front and a back so I can create a split hem. The front is ready for 1.5″ of ribbing. The back I will have to knit back and forth for another inch and a half before moving onto its ribbing.I think I won’t be able to block this before STITCHES West. It’s cooling down here so there’s no way this jumper will dry in time. That’s why I’m showing both sides of this WIP. Click on each picture for below.
- The first picture, if you look at the right side of the body, you can see a line of stitches that look like tracks. This is where the beginning and the end of each round meets and where I was switching skeins every two rounds.
- In the second picture, if you look toward the middle you’ll spot a slight dimple in the smooth fabric and then another diagonally to the right and down from it. These two spots are where I had spit spliced the yarn to attach the new balls.
My question to you is which side should I wear in front? I think technically from the pattern, the front is where I had joined the new skeins of yarn. Honestly, I think that is probably the way I’d wear it as the other side with the tracks is more noticeable.
Okay, off to get to work. Thank you for catchin’ up with me here. Have a great Saturday. TTYS. Bye!
I think the photo on the right is the front but I think it could go either way, honestly.

Hmmmm. I think either way once this has been blocked and washed and all the things you probably won’t notice either issue nearly as much.
Coming along so nicely and I’m glad you also got to the cleaning!!

This color is gorgeous and you are so talented! I’d think either side could be the front, especially after blocking.
