STITCHES West, day three

Be Basics Brioche

Hello. A quick post today.

Do you know who this is? It’s Steven Be. Last Saturday morning I took his class, Be Basics: Brioche. If you ever get the chance to meet him and/or learn from him, do it.

Steven is amazing. He’s kind, patient, calls you superstar, etc. This man knows his knitting. He is all about mixing it up and thinking outside of the box. Steven loves mixing textures and colors. And hot damn, he is smart and shares his heart with you.

Knitting brioche is cool. I did frog twice in class:

  1. I didn’t have enough stitches on my 24″ circular, and
  2. I was doing one part wrong so it was coming out wrong.

However, I got it together and was knitting away. I am going to restart with other yarn though or maybe switch the dominant color. I loved his class and was happy to meet him.

Don’t mind my muggin. A classmate took the pictures so fast I didn’t have a chance to prepare. This was the second one and I’m showing it because you can see his personality in it. Ain’t he a hoot?

Okie doke. Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday. I’m off to call my grandfather; it’s his 99th birthday today. TTYS.

    1. Thank you for the birthday wishes for my Goong Goong. He was happy to hear from us and I guess it was hard for him to hear us so the phone call was short. Steven Be is a unicorn of magic. I’m so glad I met him and learned from him.
