Hello. What are you up to this weekend? Our crew slept in and is chillaxin until we go up to the city for dinner. The dames and I are out here rewatching the first season of Project MC2.
I’m backlogged here in terms of card making. Previously I created two, cards to let an aunt and an uncle know I’m thinking of them as each had some kind of surgery:
First Card
- It was still February which is why I used hearts and pinks and reds.
- all about layers: flat & scored cardstock, embossed features, texture paste, twine, 3-D elements
Second Card
- Because this was for my uncle, I wanted a more masculine card.
- I think the card background’s color palette was one of the Distress Oxide blends Kristina Werner did on her Combinations 5 post.
- more layers: embossed & stamp cardstock, texture paste, twine, burlap, 3-D elements
- Had bought some burlap from Joann so played with this as an additional element
Well, I hope you’re having some R&R today. I need to go take care of a few things. Have a great Saturday and TTYS.
Oh gosh Stefanie…your cards are so lovely! You’re such a creative gal! What a catch!! 🙂
I hope your aunt and uncle are healing well from their surgeries.
I’ve been in the kitchen all day, big Italian feast happening here tonight. I don’t know what came over me lol…weight gain is imminent though!! We’re just hiding from the weekenders like we usually do on the weekends! I finished my knitting project, so tomorrow I’m going to try to felt it!

Hi Rain; thank you very much for your compliment. And thank you for your well wishes for my aunt and uncle. They’re both doing well; I just heard from the latter and he’s working hard at his PT. You are amazing when it comes to being organized for meals. I used to be like that but have slacked off; I’ve gotten a bit better. Good luck on the felting.

Your cards are beautiful! I think we are going to work on a family art project together today – I am feeling inspired from your art!
I plan on doing one of the nature crafts from the link you sent me with Wyatt this week, it will be fun. 🙂

Cool on being inspired. I know kids love art and it’s so important to do with the littles especially. I need to get mine into more stuff so they’re just not electronically plugged in.

Thank you. My mum’s starting to give me my cards back so I can keep a scrapbook of them. I need to find a small one for that.

Gorgeous cards as always and I do hope that your Aunt and Uncle are recovering well. My weekend consisted of the little one’s first sports day (too cute!) and then relaxing with my SIL and her family and Sunday was all about just completely chilling and taking time for ourselves. 🙂

LOVE how your little is now starting sports. We are mostly homebodies here as in the burbs there isn’t as much to do as there is in the city. Thanks for the cheer!

Your cards are so lovely, Stef. I imagine they are kept as treasures and displayed by all who receive them. Hopefully by now your aunt and uncle are healing up!

I always love seeing your cards and I like how you made this one more masculine. I’m sure they’ll love it and have something so pretty and detailed to look at while recovering.
