Hello to all. Happy Fourth of July to my fellow residents of the USA. Do you have special plans for today? For our crew, not much will be goin on. I slept in, much needed with the daily running around I’ve been doing this summer. And I hope to have a quiet day of maybe being able to drag out the sewing machine.
After school had ended I’ve been picking up A Harry Potter Purlbreak as much as I can:
I finished the second section (House of Ravenclaw) of stripes recently. This progress was done during the past five times spent in the tea shop while the tween was in class.
I only have a row of House of Ravenclaw II (movie version of colors) knitted up.
There are 436 stitches on my needle! Because there are so many, I can only knit two rows in an hour.
I’m debating on what color to use for the third section, the border. Stephen West’s sample uses the lightest color. I may go back to Vault 713, the gold and white yarn, to end with.
That’s it for today. Thank you for poppin in when you can and TTYS.
436 stitches???? EEEEEEEK!!! I’m not a fan of casting on and that would have been torture for me lol…looks great though! Happy 4th of July to you! 🙂 We had our feast on Canada Day, tonight it’s roasted chicken with stuffing and roasted veggies….what a bad day to have to have the oven on for 3 hours, it’s dang hot and humid out, not that I’m complaining! 😉

Canada day sounds fun..I guess it’s like our Independence day. I didn’t cast that many stitches on. It started from about 3-9. But there is increasing in each row knitted from then on.

Hi Stef! Say again??? 436 stitches?? Each row must take an hour. 🙂 Seriously, it is looking great and I can imagine it is a relaxing knit. You saw our 4th of July stuff on Insta–I still can’t believe we are already past the 4th of July into our summer!
